Safe Space Guidelines and Rules

Help us create a safe, inclusive and transformative experience for all participants during our Spring Festivities on the 14th, 17th and 22nd of May. We welcome you to follow the event guidelines and rules.

  • Respect and Consent: All audience members must respect each other’s and the artist’s boundaries, both physical and emotional. Consent is paramount – any interaction or physical contact must be consensual and mutually agreed upon.
  • Inclusivity: Linking the (un)known is an inclusive and welcoming event to people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of prejudice will not be tolerated.
  • Awareness of Triggers: We recognize that certain themes or scenes may trigger emotional or psychological distress for some participants. We encourage everyone to be mindful of their triggers and to communicate them to our event hosts or other staff if necessary.
  • Participants are encouraged to contact our event hosts or other staff members if they feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed at any point during the experience. The event hosts and staff members will promptly intervene and assist as needed.
  • Masks: Participants are encouraged to fully engage with the immersive environment by keeping their masks on in all zones of the event except in the chill-out zone. This way we guarantee an immersive experience for all. However, this should never compromise the comfort of oneself.
  • Physical Safety: While the experience may involve movement or physical interactions, our artists will always prioritize your safety and comfort.
  • Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of the experience by refraining from discussing specific details or spoilers with those who have not yet participated.
  • Feedback and Communication: We value feedback from participants to continuously improve the experience. Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences with staff members after the performance, either in person or through designated feedback channels.
  • By adhering to these guidelines and rules, we aim to create a safe, inclusive, and transformative experience for all participants.

Intense light and sound in the exhibition area:

We want to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience while exploring our displays. Please be aware of the following:

1. Powerful Lights: Some installations feature intense or flashing lights that may affect individuals prone to seizures or sensitivity to light. If you are susceptible to such conditions, please exercise caution or consider avoiding these installations.

2. High-Volume Sound: Certain installations utilize immersive soundscapes or loud audio elements. If you have hearing sensitivities or prefer quieter environments, we recommend adjusting your distance or using provided ear protection.

3. Strobe Effects: Some exhibits may employ strobe lights or rapid visual effects. These may not be suitable for individuals with epilepsy or other light-induced conditions. Please be cautious and proceed at your own discretion.

4. Personal Comfort: If at any point you feel uncomfortable due to the lights or sound, please step away from the exhibit and seek assistance from our staff.
